| It was sooooo beautiful today! 70 degrees, mostly sunny with a slight breeze... perfect day to be outside! I called Aimee and said "Get dressed! We're going hiking!" We drove up to Harriman State Park in New York. It took us awhile to get to a good hiking trail (I think it was 7 Lakes something or other we finally pulled over at), but it was worth it! Took lots of cool pictures as seen below.
Aimee found a fantastic babbling brook (my absolutely favoritest sound in the whole wide world), and a tree the fairies appear to have carved out for their home. (Aimee is definitely a woods elf... she disappears easily among the trees and finds the coolest stuff!) The trail snaked around a lake and we wanted to go all the way around, but it was getting late and we didn't want to get caught in the dark, so we turned back after sitting at the babbling brook for awhile. Next time we'll drive around the lake a little farther and start out where we left off before. :)
